NOXA1 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NOXA1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NOXA1 (H-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NOXA1 protein, also known as NADPH oxidase activator 1, p51NOX, NY-CO-31, or SDCCAG31, is a 476 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in activating Mox1, a superoxide-producing NADPH oxidase found in phagocytes, neuroepithelial bodies, vascular smooth muscle cells, and endothelial cells. NOXA1 facilitates the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are essential for various biological processes, including host defense, hormone biosynthesis, oxygen sensing, and signal transduction. Upon activation of Mox1, p47 phox and p67 phox proteins translocate to the plasma membrane, where these proteins interact with cytochrome b558 to form an active enzyme complex, thereby enhancing ROS generation. NOXA1 is expressed as three isoforms due to alternative splicing, and research suggests NOXA1 may also activate gp91phox and Nox3, further underscoring NOXA1′s significance in cellular signaling and immune responses.
