NQO1 Antibody (A180) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NQO1 protein of human, mouse, and, to a lesser extent, rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. NQO1 (A180) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NQO1, also known as NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1, plays a crucial role in cellular defense by catalyzing the reduction of quinones to hydroquinones, thereby detoxifying harmful compounds and protecting cells from oxidative stress, cytotoxicity, and mutagenicity. Various transcription factors, including Nrf2, c-Jun, Nrf1, Jun-B, and Jun-D, bind to the ARE to regulate NQO1 expression, while Maf-Maf homodimers and Maf-Nrf2 heterodimers may negatively regulate this transcriptional activation.
