SEE ALSO...

Su(fu) Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Su(fu) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Su(fu) (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Su(fu), known as Suppressor-of-Fused, plays a crucial role as a negative regulator in the vertebrate Hedgehog signaling pathway, which is essential for proper embryonic development and tissue patterning. Su(fu) functions by inhibiting the activity of the transcription factor Gli1 and interacting with Gli2, Gli3, and the serine/threonine kinase Fused, thereby modulating the pathway′s signaling output. This regulation is vital, as aberrations in Hedgehog signaling can lead to various cancers, including glioblastomas, prostate cancer, malignant melanoma, and endometrial cancer, with Su(fu) gene locus often found deleted in these malignancies. Furthermore, Su(fu) is widely expressed in both adult and embryonic tissues, particularly in those influenced by Hedgehog signaling, highlighting Su(fu)′s importance in developmental biology and cancer research.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great antibody!I bought this antibody few weeks ago, and I had an excellent experience on using it. The antibody is highly specific and works great in Western Blot assay. I would definitely recommend it to whoever works on the Su protein.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ConfusedUsed at 1:50 to get staining. Labeled the entire cilia in MEFs, contrary to reports in the literature. In human cells, it labeled the cilia tip, basal bodies, and some axome staining. Do not know what to make of this.
